WASHINGTON (CNN) -- From the Oval Office, [the president] told the nation Wednesday evening why he ordered new military strikes against Iraq.

The president said Iraq's refusal to cooperate with U.N. weapons inspectors presented a threat to the entire world.

"Saddam (Hussein) must not be allowed to threaten his neighbors or the world with nuclear arms, poison gas or biological weapons," [the president] said.

I don't get it.

Does your posting this mean that you like Clinton better than you used to, or that you are specifically rebutting someone who liked Clinton but not the Bushes, or is it for another reason I'm not seeing?

I didn't think you were a big two-party-system, "you must pick Coke or Pepsi" fan.

Actually, this is strictly in response to Clinton's appearance on ABC the other day where he basically cut his '92 remarks adrift (and conveniently forgot to mention he signed the 'Iraq Liberation Act' in '98. He had a few other gems, too. Must be the syphilis affecting his memory; either that or the revisionist anti-Bush tirade is somehow setting the stage for Hillary! to swoop in on her broomstick in '08.

Did you know you can change it on the login screen so that it always remembers you? (Once you've signed in, you can click "Never" so it won't sign you out when you close the browser.)

Eh, I'm at work, and don't really want to do that. Actually, the only time it does this is when I click the reply link on an email, not from the signed-in browser. No matter. Thanx anyway!

Is LJ mysteriously reposting old posts again? I haven't heard Bush mention "Hussein" and "nuclear" in the same sentence for at least a year. Heck, I haven't even heard him mention "Hussein" and "nucular" together in a year. :)

Sorry, I just assumed [the president] referred to Bush.

But -AHA!- you're right! It all ckicks into place now! George Bush's secret source of information on WMDs in Iraq was Bill Clinton!!!

Wheels within wheels, man.

Sorry, I just assumed [the president] referred to Bush.

Actually, I thought that that was the joke... You read the first part of the article and it sounds totally like Bush '03, then you click and it's Clinton '98. Even if that wasn't the intention, I thought it was pretty funny!
