We went to a fire in Hartland last night. Here we are waiting for the water supply to get worked out before making entry. Click on the picture to see more photos.
The swimming pool is a portatank. In areas without hydrants (everywhere, pretty much, up here), the attack pumper pumps out of the portatank while tanker shuttle relays fill the portatank from some remote water source.
The white thing in the door is the lamp part of a gas-powered light. You can see a smoke ejector in a different picture, CIMG2676.
The guy I think you are referring to is actually 28. You have to be 18 to be a firefighter.

How old do you have to be to become a fireman? Looks like someone needs to doublecheck birth dates on those baby faces.

Unfortunately for me, I was not on the cruise... So Ol' Rab isn't in the pictures because she was taking them.
