In California again. My lab is back to its usual uncleaned state. Absolutely nothing of interest has happened since I've been here other than my having a lovely breakfast while attending a two-hour telephone call with the UK and India. The breakfast was the interesting part, of course.

And can you imagine if Laura had said that the kids in Florida should just go naked after a hurricane? Or that a good way to fix the flu was to soak raisins in gin? Or if she had fallen off a tour bus, blind drunk?

In a previous post, I said...

...a previous president issued an arrest warrant for the chief justice himself for having the audacity to rule that only the congress had the right to suspend habeas corpus. Not happy with just this affront, the president in question went on to detain a circuit court judge for demanding habeas corpus for a detained political prisoner, then the mayor and chief of police of a major city and a number of state legislators for suspicion of sedition.

No one asked about this... I was a little surpised.
