Well, I wasn't really expecting the Red Chinese tie-in so soon when I posted yesterday about thier interest in and strategic benefit from the various aspects of the war on terror.

'The FBI has triggered a massive manhunt for six people -- four Chinese and two Iraqis -- who may pose a terrorist threat to the city of Boston, law enforcement officials briefed on the threat said today.'

Everyone is bending over backwards to say this is 'uncorroborated', but they sure seem to be upset about it; FEMA center opened, Governor Romney returning from DC where he will now miss the inauguration. Someone sure seems scared about something.

I know, it's Bush's fault. It's trumped up nothing to distract attention from... The inauguration? No, I don't think so. Anyway, if this isn't complete hot air, he stands to lose a lot of political face with supporters. Certainly I've never made a secret of the fact that I think the border with Mexico should be enforced.

Here's my question; how do they know/why do they suspect it's going to Boston? Wouldn't any self-respecting terrorist be heading to DC? Or maybe it's one facet of those coordinated attacks that they seem to dig so much. Let's hope not. On the other hand, what better day to hit six or eight other cities?

In any event, color me unsurprised if this turns out to be true. The Chinese studied Lenin, of course, and destabilizing our economy through less-than-obvious means has been high on the agenda of the various communist totalitarian regimes.

As a first responder, the idea of biologicals in Boston scares me spitless. Let's hope it's nothing.

border patrol
I was surprised to see Border Patrol on I-91 yesterday, in the dark, with wind chills at -10. I wondered if there was a new threat, as they haven't been there much the last month.

Re: border patrol
By on I-91, I mean, standing in front of big flood lights talking to every driver. They usually take one look at me and wave me on, not so yesterday.

hoping it's negative, too
if it's true would we then get to nuke or atom bomb Iraq, Iran and China (no more slave labor!)?

Ouch, meow! Sorry. Little too cynical for my own good tonight.

wait a minute!
A first responder for VT that's in CA pretty much is off the hook, right?

RK - This sounds like a GREAT time to visit DE or MD, or even CA!
