Sorry - the page won't load for me. And I have a fast new computer, as of last night.

It loaded for me, but the writing and images are so small I can't see it.

Hey you! Check your email!
Jun. 22nd, 2006 09:36 pm (UTC)
I tried checking my email for the first time in ages yesterday, but yahoo was down. Try emailing me at firstname.lastname@chase.com 'cause I look at that one all day for 4 days a week.

Yahoo's back up, and I'm lazy and don't feel like re-typing it. It was about logistics/planning for fall.

And now, a big "SORRY" to bxxie for using and abusing his LJ like this...

We now return you to your regularlarlarly scheduled LJ discussion.

In the time it took me to read LJ and several emails, it still hadn't loaded for me (but it still claimed it was working on it).

exactly the same here.

I see a grey cat dancing in a confederate Civil War uniform in the clouds caused by Mt. St. Helen.

Dratted intern.

I works better in Firefox, FWIW.

Does ya?

You know what's funny? I totally missed that typo (the missing "t"); my brain automatically filled it in for me and I detected nothing wrong with the sentence. Until I saw your smarty-pantses remark.

I'd make a terrible proof-reader.

Speaking of typos, the homepage text says "provide to you company".

The site loaded perfectly fast for me on a 1.73GHz notebook with 1GB RAM in IE6, over a budget-priced cable modem ISP.

I really like the mutating logo. Good smokey effect.

The grey background seems kind of bland. A crisp cool pale blue would be better to compliment your logo and some of the text colors.

When I hover over most parts of the homepage, a border appears around the entire Flash area. I played around with some HTML solutions off the top of my head, but I couldn't make it go away, so maybe it's in the Flash?

The page might be easier to read if you increased the size of the Flash to 100%/100%, instead of 75%/75%.

Rollovers on the left: The moving lines are still visible a little bit at the right edge. Just the tip of the line is sticking out too far.

Rollovers at the bottom: The page views they present are very hard to read. You should just link to a new page.

Date and time at the top seems silly if most of your customers are local, but if you have customers nationally/internationally then perhaps it's good information. If you keep it, instead of splitting it up into three little boxes that look like buttons, put it all together as a single line of text with no outline.

Sorry, this is a pet peeve of mine from way back:
Instead of having the email link say "e-mail us", show your actual email address. That way if someone doesn't want to launch their email program they can just scribble it down on paper. Also if they printed the page or saw a picture of it in a publication, etc.

The English majors might disagree with me, if they even read this much of my boring ramblings, but, personally, I'd say "High-Tech" instead of "High-Technology", especially since your company name has the word Technology in it already.

Overall it's a cool beginning, but, to be frank, it has absolutely no advantages over a plain HTML site. Apparently several Friends had problems loading the Flash site. You definitely don't want customers having problems with your site, since you're a solutions provider; it would look like you failed to anticipate their needs. I'd say bring back the old site. Maybe replace the logo with an animated GIF. Your old site was pretty cool.

I like the site but have no idea what the old one was like. You showed up on my 'friend for the day' utility.

Can you optimize a site with so much java?
I'm having a site built for me (I'm a technical recruiter) and my 1st page will be plain so I can optimize it to be found and to make it load super-fast. The other pages will be connected to huge databases.
